- ¾ lb deli ham (or leftover holiday ham, sliced medium thickness)
- 6–8 slices Havarti cheese (or Swiss, cheddar, or provolone)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional for extra creaminess)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional for tanginess)
For the Buttery Glaze:
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp honey (optional for a touch of sweetness)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional for crunch)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or dried)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Rolls:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected for easy assembly.
2. Assemble the Sliders:
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard (if using) on the rolls.
- Layer the ham evenly over the rolls.
- Add slices of Havarti (or your preferred cheese) on top of the ham.
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
3. Prepare the Buttery Glaze:
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, and parsley.
- Use a pastry brush or spoon to evenly coat the tops of the sliders with the glaze.
4. Bake the Sliders:
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
5. Serve & Enjoy:
- Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm and enjoy with a side of chips, fries, or a fresh salad!
Notes
- Cheese Substitutions: Havarti is creamy and mild, but Swiss, provolone, cheddar, or gouda also work well.
- Meat Variations: Try turkey, roast beef, or even crispy bacon for a twist on the classic recipe!
